Victoria sends 11 to Winter Games
The Canada Winter Games only happen every two years. Needless to say it’s a mighty privilege for those up-and-coming athletes chosen from the South Island.
Greater Victoria sends two coaches and 11 of B.C.’s 350-member team to Halifax for the Games, Feb. 11 to 27.
Leonardo Maekawa of Sooke was recently announced to the team for men’s figure skating.
